After many inquiries and searching for information, Dazhu finally targeted the long-staple cotton from Awati in Xinjiang.
From the home of Dazhu Shenzhen to Awati, you need to fly 3,000 kilometers, transfer to 800 kilometers, and then take a 90-kilometer car. Across 4,000 kilometers, most of China, Da Zhu finally found the best cotton.
As an important cotton producing area in Xinjiang, Awati has provided good conditions for cotton growth due to its long sunshine hours and the large temperature difference between day and night. The long-staple cotton here is called “Queen of Cotton”. After cotton testing, Dazhu surprised that the fiber length of Awati long-staple cotton is 38~45mm, not only the fiber length exceeds that of Egyptian cotton and American cotton, but also the elastic strength. excellent. Such cotton can be directly woven on the machine while ensuring softness and water absorption. After the cotton was settled, Dazhu also ran several Awati, discussed with the local cotton merchants and the Agricultural Bureau, and finally reached a cooperation with the local county government, planting 3,000 acres in the first phase. Dazhu adheres to the traditional method of artificial cotton picking. Hand cotton picking can reduce the damage of cotton fiber, but the cost of hand-picking cotton is higher than that of machine picking. In October, 10 tons of cotton was shipped to the factory in Dazhu, and the production effect surprised the factory masters. Because the cotton fiber is long enough, it can be directly woven into yarn, and then weaved on the machine, finally eliminating the process of sizing, de-slurry and so on.
